When business offices, ultra-luxury launch halls, and academic salons must frequently interact, can public facilities break free from the shackles of ugliness and roughness to achieve genuine, seamless integration? With this question in mind, ALTULA abandoned all pre-existing blueprints from the very beginning of the project. We bridged the chasm between engineering mechanics and high-end furniture finishes, deconstructing and reconstructing every millimeter of steel frame, every transmission mechanism, and every piece of solid wood texture. The result is a sophisticated “integrated” exhibition and reception podium: when extended, it transforms into an impeccably ordered seating arrangement with outstanding acoustic absorption performance; when retracted, its natural maple finish instantly returns to tranquility. It never intrudes—it simply becomes part of the spatial extension.
